Finance Contractor, WSP NZ (Formerly Opus)
Wellington (April 2018 – February 2020)
(In February 2020 starting short term contract with Transpower)
Embedded in a high employee turnover environment following the acquisition by WSP, ensuring the transition of changes in finance roles and the delivery of change management projects is smooth and seamless. Key projects / pieces of work include:
- Drove a successful integration project of the finances of WSP NZ into Opus International Consultants Limited, now WSP NZ
- Following a restructure of the business, drove a project to ensure the new sector led model was successfully reflected in the finance system and delivered the businesses needs
- Led the roll out of a new budgeting and forecasting model as part of the 2019 budgeting process for an 1,800 strong consultancy business
- Led a project to merge two companies in the financial system to increase efficiencies for the business and finance function
- Drove the financial aspects of the financial system virtualization project
- Led the successful transition of both the Group Finance Manager and NZ Financial Controller roles and acted in both roles. As well, relocated a Finance Business Partner role to Auckland.
